Implementation of the Semiconductor Innovation Hub in Sorocaba.
Data has structured a board of executive professionals and national and foreign investors who are enabling the projects and the beginning of the implementation of semiconductor design and manufacturing operations in Brazil, with plans being developed for an expansion of this type of operation in other countries to from the brazilian experience.
The memorandum of intent signed with the City Hall and the Technological Park of Sorocaba on March 16, 2023 aims to launch studies and implementation options for said operation at the Technological Park of Sorocaba, in the State of São Paulo.
To bring its operation to the PTS, the new Research Center is investing around R$100 million and generating around 250 jobs.
In parallel, #Data is putting into operation in Brazil, with national technology developed by the von Braun Center, a manufacturing process for semiconductor chips linked directly to cloud design solutions, which should soon be implemented initially in Sorocaba and in the future on a scale global.
We believe that Brazil needs to establish manufacturing capacity in the semiconductor segment, not only to meet local demand, but also to demonstrate that it is a viable alternative on a global scale.
